Learn About the Issues
Each election season, candidates and campaigns want to define the issues for you. But an election is an opportunity for you to think about the issues you care about and then vote for the candidate whose position on the issue best reflects your own.
Start with your issue and see what the candidates have to say about it. Your June 3 State Primary ballot may have candidates for U.S. Representative, State Senator or State Assemblyperson, depending on the election districts you live in. Click here to go to the nonpartisan LWVC website, smartvoter.org, and enter the candidate's name to read their positions on the issues you care about.
